After about 200 hours of nearly flawless working, I finally finished ARR.
I encountered the weirdest issue in this game. It installes x86/圆4 versions of VC 2005,2008,2010,2012 and some older dll's: I'm running Windows 8 圆4 as well. Download this all-in-one installer and you should be set for most games/software. Disable Data Execution Prevention for Explorer.exe. Be sure to set this path back to its original name if this does not resolve the ntdll.dll issue. Note: This is a troubleshooting step for this issue only. If your Windows system does not have this environment variable, skip this step. Please see below for details on system requirements as of Jfor playing the FINAL FANTASY XIV free trial on your PC. An application used to modify the textures and models for the game Final Fantasy XIV. Even though I play every other content in FFXIV for months just fine, it is in the back of my head, what if I crash now and let my team down. The intense black screen crash testing caused a black-screen PTSD in FFXIV for me. I tried all of the tips, changes to audio settings, video settings, compatibility settings, disabled all optimizations, different drivers, reinstalled the game, even went as far as reinstalling. I've been playing for about a week now, and I kept getting random ffxiv_dx11.exe crashes, several times every day. If you were crashing whilst teleporting to certain places I'd suggest a full clean install of the game due to possible corruption but it seems more likely to be a server to client communication issue arising from patches 3.2 onwards. I'm using AMD so it's not graphics driver related. I've been seeing a lot more disconnects & crashes to desktop since the last patch too. Otherwise it’ll freeze constantly and cause crashes."
You must have the game in fullscreen mode and limit FPS to 60 in settings.
↑ Final Fantasy XIV on Apple Silicon Games - last accessed on "~45-60 FPS at Standard Settings in game. I'd try deleting the FFXIV config files in My Documents first, if you haven't already. If you've already tried resetting to the default settings/etc, I'd uninstall and reinstall the game. Thank you for visiting the Final Fantasy XIV Technical Support Forums. Originally the crashes would happen randomly but, only once or twice a day. These crashes have happened since I re-subbed on 4/27/20. To clarify, I meant that I was unable to find any logs or errors associated with my crashes.
